Beyond the Call

Harry G. Flinner

“Go . . . and I'll go with you!” Matthew 28:19, 20

Beyond the Call tells the story of the insurmountable challenges that one missionary family faced to take the Gospel to an aboriginal tribe of Indians who had never seen a Bible, never heard the name of Jesus, and didn't even have a word for God in their language.

Beyond the Call is the incredible true story of a courageous, audacious missionary who took his wife and four children deep into the Amazon rain forest to live with a primitive tribe of Jivaro Indians who at that time were still headhunters.

Beyond the Call tells the story of how God chose a 12-year-old boy from an unchurched family and made him a missionary. Harry Flinner is well qualified to tell that story, because that story is his.

Harry Flinner is a graduate of Asbury College, the Alliance Graduate School of Missions, and Biola School of Missionary Medicine. He has done graduate work in Linguistics and Anthropology at the University of Oklahoma and the University of Kentucky.
Rev. Flinner is a retired missionary of the Church of the Nazarene.
