Rev. Lois Farra Watkins, MDiv | Devotions | Email | Seminar notes | Wesleyan Coaching Network How can I help you succeed? "Coaches help people develop their God-given potential so they can grow personally and make a valuable contribution to the Kingdom of God…coaching is the hands-on process of helping people succeed." The Wesleyan Coaching Network. Hi, I'm Lois Watkins, a certified coach with WCN. According to coaching expert Tim Roehl, a C.O.A.C.H. . . . Comes alongside ...as one who wants the best for both the person and their project. Observes carefully ...and helps identify outcomes. Asks questions wisely ...listening more than telling Clarifies options and resources ...helping think beyond first "visible" impressions to other viable options Holds accountable and cares for the Heart…so leaders can grow personally, be more effective and make their maximum impact for the Kingdom. Coaching is a relational and intentional process that empowers leaders to discover where God is working in their life and ministry, discern opportunities and develop action steps to see God’s agenda become reality. Coaching is often equated with mentoring, counseling, discipling, training and consulting. Great coaching skills connects to all those other skills yet has some distinct qualities. For example, one of the simplest ways to describe the difference between mentoring and coaching is "Mentors pour in, coaches pull out." In our coach training, we help leaders understand the unique skills of coaching and how those skills makes all other ministries more effective. Here's how to get started . . . Please email me at lois@loiswatkins.com to share your goals and dreams, phone number, and a covenient time by discussion how we can partner for success.
