The Theology of Marriage

James and Cheryl Frisch

Everyone knows that love and marriage go together. But evidenced by the high divorce rate—even among Christians—it is obvious that marriage itself does not guarantee a loving relationship. Only a husband and wife can develop and protect the intimacy they desire. And the principles of how to do this are only found in the Bible. In The Theology of Marriage, authors James and Cheryl Frisch present an inspiring and edifying exposition of the biblical principles of marriage in light of current issues and real-life situations. The Frisch's draw from their seminary education and their experience in ministry. By sharing a wealth of wisdom and a sprinkling of humor, James and Cheryl prepare prospective couples to enjoy a lifetime of love.

"Working with pastors and couples to properly prepare men and women for marriage, we have seen the great need for the church in America to develop and clearly communicate a theology of marriage. To that end, this book is a great resource for prospective couples and for pastors who counsel them. More importantly, the concepts are presented in a way that couples can apply them to daily living."
Eric T. Skelton, Director of Marriage and Family Ministry, Wisconsin Family Council
