Take My Hand: A Father's Story

Mark Turek

I don’t subscribe to the notion that when the Bible speaks about faith being a gift from God in Ephesians 2:8 that it is the gift of stupidity, some sort of self-delusional ability to contort and construe anything and everything that happens in life into conformance with Christianity, despite how seemingly senseless it all is. Take My Hand is my true story of the struggle to trust God in the face of life’s tragic body blows and to make sense in my head of what I believed in my heart.

Mark Turek is a former business owner and holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering (with honors) from the University of Illinois, an MBA in finance from Northwestern University, and a Juris-Doctorate (Order of the Coif) from IIT/Chicago-Kent College of Law. More importantly, he is a husband, father of two daughters, and grandfather, who shares with the reader what he has learned about trusting God in the hard places of life. Mark and his wife, Judi, reside in the Chicago area.
